When I start a new game I often take a previous name and modify it a bit. Hence "Bionic Beefpile" (my CounterStrike handle) morphed to Bion Beefhammer. Alchux (my first WoW character name that I came up with on the fly) became Alchux Ri for an EVE alt, etc. my names tend to evolve over time.
